Eminem’s full name is “Marshall Bruce Mathers“. Who was born on 17 October 1972 in America. When he was born, his mother was only 16 years old. When Eminem was 6 months old, his father left home and remarried. After this, Eminem and his mother “Demi” kept wandering from one city to another in search of a job. Due to which no one could become a close friend of Eminem in his childhood. Eminem used to ask his mother about his father and also wrote letters to his father, but his father used to send all his letters back to him by post without reading them.
Then Eminem came and settled in Detroit Michigan. Where Black African American people live. When he was enrolled in a school, seeing a White American among them, other children used to harass Eminem a lot and beat him. Once a boy older than him hit him so much that his brain got badly injured and Eminem remained in a coma for a week. Because these people believed that hip-hop music was only for black Americans and Eminem had learned to do hip-hop music and rap.
Eminem started enjoying rap music when his uncle Ronnie gave him the record-breaking sound track Reckless. After hearing this, Eminem became very excited. Later, Ronnie also taught Eminem the tricks of hip-hop.
Ronnie was a positive person in Eminem’s life. Whom Eminem considered his idol. But in 1991, Ronnie committed suicide, which deeply shocked Eminem. Eminem also had fights with his mother Debbie. During this time, he also got addicted to drugs.
When Eminem was 15, he met Kimberly Scott, who was 13, in high school. Kimberly and her twin sister ran away from home and started living at Eminem’s house and during this time Eminem fell in love with Kimberly and both of them gave birth to a daughter.
By the age of 17, Eminem had failed in 9th class three times. He had no interest in studies. He was only interested in English. His mother said, “If you don’t study, at least help me in paying the household bills.” Eminem happily dropped out of school and took up odd jobs to make ends meet. But his interest in hip-hop rap music remained. There were hip hop shows in Detroit.
Eminem started doing rap competitions in it. He had made a good name for himself in Rap Music. But poverty had still not left him. He started receiving invitations to join many Rap Camps and then he joined “FBT Production” and recorded and launched his debut album Infinite. But this album proved to be a flop and Eminem lost a lot of money.
To feed his family, Eminem worked as a “cook” at “Gilbert Lounge”. He even did the job of cleaning utensils. After the birth of his daughter, Eminem worked as a model for 6 months, 60 hours per week. But five days before Christmas, he was fired from his job. It was Christmas day, his daughter “Haley’s” birthday and he had only $40 in his pocket for her birthday. After the failure of his album and being fired from the job, he broke down and tried to commit suicide, but luck did not approve of it and his life was saved.
In 1997, the “Rap Olympics” were scheduled to take place in Los Angeles. This was a competition in which Eminem participated and he reached the finals and finished second. Rap Olympic Staff sent a copy of the album “Slim Saddy EP” produced by Eminem to the famous Hip Hap music producer “Dr. Dray”. When the doctor listened to Eminem’s CD, he said that I have never heard anything like this in my music career, find that boy immediately. They hired Eminem. Eminem’s album “The Slim Saddy EP” was released in February 1999. This album became a famous album of that time and after this Eminem never looked back.
After this Eminem rapped a song on childhood memories. In which he also mentioned about “Bailey” and how “Bailey” brought him to coma. After this, people started looking at “Bailey” evilly at various places and started taunting him. Troubled by all this, Bailey sued Eminem for defamation of one million dollars.
